Organic Literacy: Planting the Seeds of Literacy in our Youngest Learners
As adults we encounter opportunities to engage in reading, writing, listening and speaking all day long every day. One of our roles as supportive early educators is to assist young children in developing the skills to navigate our literate world as well as delighting in the opportunities that provides.
This session with Susan Bennett-Armistead focused on finding and taking advantage of the many natural teachable moments throughout the day with children as well as purposefully planning experiences to maximize their literacy learning.
Susan shared some great ideas and resources with us.
