CO-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR / MORGAN HART TOLIN
Morgan Hart Tolin leads MaineAEYC’s professional learning and career pathways initiatives, including the T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood Scholarship Program and annual Maine Early Childhood Education Conference. Before this role, she served as Professional Learning Director for MaineAEYC and was on the MaineAEYC Board. Morgan worked in early childhood education programs and classrooms for ten years, teaching preschool and PreK in public and private schools here in Maine and in Massachusetts. Most recently Morgan was the Program Director at Beansprouts Early Learning Center in Freeport. Morgan received a bachelors degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and a Masters in Early Childhood Education from Springfield College.

CO-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR / HEATHER MARDEN
Heather Marden leads MaineAEYC’s public policy and advocacy work, staffing the Leadership in ECE Advocacy & Policy (LEaP) Program and the Right from the Start Coalition. She also supports the organization’s Building Early Childhood Bridges work, helping to foster collaborative relationships between school districts and early care and education programs. Heather worked in early childhood education programs and classrooms for 18 years, in special education services, public school, and private child care. In 2014, she was chosen as a Terry Lynn Lockoff Child Care Teacher of the Year recipient. She joined the Board of MaineAEYC in 2016 and served as Membership Committee Chair, Public Policy Chair, Vice President, and President. Heather has been active in advocacy and policy at the local and national level. She has coordinated policy work and grassroots advocacy campaigns for MaineAEYC and attended Policy Forums in D.C. with NAEYC and Save the Children Action Network.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT / KYLIE GRANDJEAN
Kylie Grandjean works as the Administrative Assistant for MaineAEYC; handling communications for the organization. Kylie has over a decade of experience working in the ECE field. She began her career as a classroom teacher for TLC Daycare in Upstate New York and has spent the last five years working as the Lead Teacher and Director of Roselyn North Academy in Yarmouth. During college, she volunteered for the Portland Mentoring Alliance and worked for America Reads; a literacy program bringing specialized reading assistance to elementary classrooms. Kylie is an active member on the board for The Little Back Road Farm scholarship program, supporting students who aspire to forge their way in the field of agriculture.
Kylie received her BA in History and Education from the University of Southern Maine.

T.E.A.C.H. PROGRAM COORDINATOR / MARGA HUTCHINSON
Marga has worked professionally in the ECE field for 18 years in a variety of roles as a public pre-k teacher, an in-home child care provider, a center coordinator for Head Start preschool programs and most recently as a Montessori Toddler teacher in Midcoast Maine. Marga received a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Maine at Farmington. She has served on a variety of ECE boards and currently sits on two: Secretary for Kid’s Corner Board of Directors in Bar Harbor Maine and as an Editorial Advisory Board Member of the Editorial Board of the Maine Childcare Advocacy Group’s flagship publication, The Maine Journal of Childcare Research. Marga is passionate about quality programming for Maine’s children and equally passionate about supporting the teachers that care for them.
